MKE Home | Weekend Staycation at the Journeyman Hotel

This weekend Josh and I had the pleasure of staying at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel before the BHLDN Trunk Show for a little weekend staycation in Milwaukee. If you are from or visiting Milwaukee, the Journeyman is by far one of the best hotels in the city! Not only is the interior absolutely stunning and modern, but it is located in the heart of Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward amongst all of the best restaurants and shopping! The Journeyman is also pet-friendly and I'm really regretting not bringing my baby with me after seeing all of the doggos around the hotel.

We arrived to the hotel right around check-in at 3pm to settle in and relax before we headed to dinner. I was welcomed to the room with this sweet note and a basket of fruits and some wine!

Our room was absolutely stunning with a gorgeous view of the Third Ward and a huge beautiful bathtub. Also, thank you BHLDN for this beautiful robe! 😍

After we got back from dinner, Josh and I were surprised to come back to our room with more goodies left just for us from the Journeyman staff!

We ended the night with a little celebrating and relaxing since we had such a busy day ahead of us on Saturday! It was so nice to unwind and spend time together.

Though we did enjoy the night relaxing, I wish we would have visited the lobby "living room" at night where they hold a free wine night as well as playing pool and meeting other visitors. The Journeyman is also home of The Outsider, which is a gorgeous rooftop bar at the top of the hotel. We didn't get the chance to check it out, but just another excuse to visit again. (You don't need to be staying at the hotel to go there though!)

The next morning was the perfect way to wake up, with a beautiful view of the city and a cup of coffee. It was definitely hard to get out of bed though!

Josh ordered room service breakfast for us, which was so delicious! They make it so easy to order too - all you have to do is check a box of what you want and what time you want it on a little door hanger, and leave it out for them the night before. And there it was! Right on time before we headed down to the BHLDN Trunk Show downstairs.

All in all, we had an amazing stay at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel. Not only is it beautiful and located in my favorite part of Milwaukee, but the staff was absolutely phenomenal and truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home..no pun intended 😉
